Dr Trent D’Antignana
Managing Director
Dr. Trent D’Antignana is an aquaculture expert with over 20 years experience in commercial aquaculture. With a Bachelor of Science and PhD from Flinders University (Honours) in fish biochemistry and nutrition, Trent has managed applied research projects for the Abalone, Sardine, Tuna, Barramundi, Murray Cod, Pipi and Yellowtail Kingfish industries.
Having previously held roles within Universities, ASX listed company’s and private ventures, Trent has extensive experience in managing R&D portfolios spanning fish health, nutrition, feed management, selective breeding, harvesting, processing and product development. His key areas of expertise include diet development, investigating production issues, developing and implementing R&D strategies, R&D tax, project management, process review and refinement, grant preparation and stakeholder engagement. Trent has been instrumental in assisting aquaculture entities unravel significant production issues affecting their economic sustainability and has acted as an expert in litigation cases.
Combining a hands on, practical approach with technical expertise, Trent is an independent R&D consultant helping agribusinesses throughout Australia develop, implement and manage R&D programs to maximise profitability and sustainability.
